Romans 5:7-8

⁷ For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.

⁸ But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Righteous (as used here) = right in general conduct

Good = acts beneficially towards others

The righteous are motivated by justice, the good are motivated by love. So, the verse is saying that hardly anyone would die for a just man, but you might find a few who would die for a loving man.
