He said to them, \u201cHe put clay on my eyes, and I washed, and I see.\u201d <\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><sup class=\"versenum\">16<\/sup> Therefore some of the Pharisees said, \u201cThis Man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath.\u201d Others said, \u201cHow can a man who is a sinner do such signs?\u201d And there was a division among them. <\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><sup class=\"versenum\">17<\/sup> They said to the blind man again, \u201cWhat do you say about Him because He opened your eyes?\u201d He said, \u201cHe is a prophet.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3>By example (v. 14), Jesus showed that works of necessity and mercy were allowed on the Sabbath.<\/h3>\n<h3>In their arrogance (v. 16), the Pharisees believed Jesus could not be from God because He broke laws <u>they<\/u> had created.<\/h3>\n<h3>All divisions are not necessarily bad, neither is unity always good (v. 16).<\/h3>\n<h3>They couldn&#8217;t deny that a miracle had occurred (v. 17)<\/h3>\n<h3>The healed man still hadn&#8217;t seen Jesus.
