40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n

41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n

42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, He said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n

Simon = hearing<\/h3>\n

Jona = dove<\/h3>\n

shall be called \u2014 future time. To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious (1 Peter 2:4).<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

Messiah\/Christ = anointed one<\/h3>\n
