They believed God&#8217;s word and so were saved. \u2014 Morris, page 129.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">__________<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">The robe which God provided was an effectual covering, because He provided it; just as the apron was an ineffectual covering, because man had provided it. Moreover, God&#8217;s coat was founded upon blood-shedding; Adam&#8217;s apron was not. So also now, God&#8217;s righteousness is set forth in the cross; mans&#8217; righteousness is set forth in the works\u2014the sin-stained works\u2014of his own hands. &#8230; the sinner may feel perfectly at rest when, by faith, he knows that God has clothed him; but to feel at rest till them, can only be the result of presumption or ignorance. \u2014 Mackintosh, pages 54-55.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">__________<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">[God] took away their coverings of fig leaves, and clothed them with coats of skins.
