{"id":443,"date":"2008-12-23T06:00:59","date_gmt":"2008-12-23T12:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/1002things.com\/?p=443"},"modified":"2022-03-29T06:56:29","modified_gmt":"2022-03-29T12:56:29","slug":"romans-139-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/versebyverse.carpelibra.org\/?p=443","title":{"rendered":"Romans 13:9-10"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u00a0<span id=\"en-NKJV-28276\" class=\"text Rom-13-9\"><sup class=\"versenum\">9\u00a0<\/sup>For the commandments, <span class=\"oblique\">\u201cYou shall not commit adultery,\u201d \u201cYou shall not murder,\u201d \u201cYou shall not steal,\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"oblique\">\u201cYou shall not bear false witness,\u201d \u201cYou shall not covet,\u201d<\/span> and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, <span class=\"oblique\">\u201cYou shall love your neighbor as yourself.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3><em><span id=\"en-NKJV-28277\" class=\"text Rom-13-10\" style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><sup class=\"versenum\">10\u00a0<\/sup>Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3>The 10 Commandments are used by Paul to express a general principle.<\/h3>\n<h3>Love of God is expressed by love to neighbors.<\/h3>\n<h3>Love is personified in <a href=\"https:\/\/versebyverse.carpelibra.org\/?p=2431\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">1 Corinthians 13<\/span><\/a>.<\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">James 2:9-11 \u2014 <em>But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For He that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill.
