exceedingly abundantly (v.20) \u2014 The compound word is a superlative of superlatives in force. It speaks of the ability of God to do something, that ability having more than enough potential power, this power exhaustless, and then some on top of that. Thus, Paul says that God is able to do super abundantly above and beyond what we ask or think, and then some on top of that. \u2014 Wuest, page 91<\/span><\/h3>\n

ask (v.20) = to ask in one’s own interest<\/h3>\n

think (v.20) = consider<\/h3>\n

the power (v.20) \u2014 dunamis<\/em> \u2014 the Holy Spirit<\/h3>\n

works (v.20) = puts forth energy<\/h3>\n

to Him (v.21) \u2014 the Father<\/h3>\n

glory (v.21) \u2014 should be “the” glory \u2014 the glory due to God<\/h3>\n

by Christ Jesus (v.21) \u2014 should be “in” Christ Jesus<\/h3>\n
