{"id":279,"date":"2007-12-18T06:00:01","date_gmt":"2007-12-18T12:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/1002things.com\/?p=279"},"modified":"2022-03-12T13:20:55","modified_gmt":"2022-03-12T19:20:55","slug":"romans-317-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/versebyverse.carpelibra.org\/?p=279","title":{"rendered":"Romans 3:17-20"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"poetry top-1\">\n<h3 class=\"line\"><em><span id=\"en-NKJV-28009\" class=\"text Rom-3-17\" style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><sup class=\"versenum\">17\u00a0<\/sup><span class=\"oblique\">And the way of peace they have not known.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"line\"><em><span id=\"en-NKJV-28010\" class=\"text Rom-3-18\" style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><sup class=\"versenum\">18 <\/sup><span class=\"oblique\">\u201cThere<\/span> <span class=\"oblique\">is no fear of God before their eyes.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"top-1\"><em><span id=\"en-NKJV-28011\" class=\"text Rom-3-19\" style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><sup class=\"versenum\">19\u00a0<\/sup>Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"top-1\"><em><span id=\"en-NKJV-28012\" class=\"text Rom-3-20\" style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><sup class=\"versenum\">20\u00a0<\/sup>Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">No fear of God (v.18) \u2014 This is the last of the 14 charges. The quote is from <a href=\"https:\/\/versebyverse.carpelibra.org\/?p=3975\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Psalm 36:1<\/span><\/a> \u2014 <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom (Psalm 111:10 and Proverbs 9:10).<\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Colin Smith once said <em>The reason men hate the Bible is because, if it&#8217;s true, it&#8217;s true about them. And it&#8217;s not very flattering.<\/em><\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Those under the Law (v.19) \u2014 Jews are included in the charges<\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Every mouth may be stopped (v.19) \u2014\u00a0 there is no defense against the charges<\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Guilty before God (v.19) \u2014 the verdict. Everyone has come under judgment, been justly charged and worthy of blame.<\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Therefore (verse 20) \u2014 Based on Paul&#8217;s arguments since <a href=\"https:\/\/versebyverse.carpelibra.org\/?p=252\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">verse 18 of chapter 1<\/span><\/a>, no law anywhere can justify any man.
