Chiefly because to them were committed the oracles of God. <\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">The opening question is saying &#8220;What is the advantage of being a Jew if Jews are lumped with heathens in guilt?&#8221; It&#8217;s a follow-up to Paul&#8217;s conclusions in chapter 2.<\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">The Jews were entrusted with the reception, inscription, and transmission of God&#8217;s Word. Other advantages are mentioned in Romans 9:4-5 \u2014 <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">W<span id=\"en-NKJV-28160\" class=\"text Rom-9-4\">ho are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; <\/span> <span id=\"en-NKJV-28161\" class=\"text Rom-9-5\">of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God.
