{"id":256,"date":"2007-11-24T06:00:29","date_gmt":"2007-11-24T12:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/1002things.com\/?p=256"},"modified":"2022-03-09T09:42:18","modified_gmt":"2022-03-09T15:42:18","slug":"romans-124-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/versebyverse.carpelibra.org\/?p=256","title":{"rendered":"Romans 1:24-27"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 align=\"justify\"><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\"><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">25 who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\"><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\"><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">27and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Because of idolatry, God gave man up to sin \u2014 <u>after<\/u> He worked with them for a prolonged period. Our moral nature is governed by God. To reject God leads to moral disease. God did not give man up because of sin but gave them up to sin because they rejected Him.<\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Uncleanness = sexual aberration &#8211; not illicit sex but perversion<\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Change = exchange. Man gave up one thing (truth) for another (lie) which meant giving up natural affections for vile perversion<\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Truth = glory of God, the true God (not just truth about God)<\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Lie = idolatry<\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Worship and serve \u2014\u00a0These words always appear in this order. Acknowledgment always proceeds service.<\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">More than \u2014 abandonment. Man abandoned the Creator to worship and serve the creation.<\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Blessed = praise and adoration of the Creator by creation.<\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Amen = &#8220;it is and shall be so&#8221;<\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Sexual perversion results from idolatry. Breaking natural laws brings natural consequences.
