25\u00a0<\/sup>For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n

26\u00a0<\/sup>The last enemy\u00a0that\u00a0will be destroyed\u00a0is\u00a0death.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n

27\u00a0<\/sup>For\u00a0\u201cHe has put all things under His feet.\u201d\u00a0But when He says \u201call things are put under\u00a0Him,\u201d\u00a0it is\u00a0evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n

28\u00a0<\/sup>Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n

He must (v.25) \u2014 it is God’s will<\/h3>\n

under His feet (v.25) \u2014 Psalm 110:1, quoted in Hebrews 1:13<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n

death (v.26) \u2014 A time is coming when all who will die have died.<\/h3>\n

He says (v.27) \u2014 Psalm 8:6<\/span><\/a> \u2014 The first Adam lost his position over creation, but the second Adam (Christ) never will.<\/h3>\n

all things (v.27) \u2014 emphasized \u2014 The Father is the only exception to the “all things.”<\/h3>\n

when (vs. 27 and 28) = whensoever<\/h3>\n

then (v.28) = immediately following, with no interval<\/h3>\n

Son Himself will also be subject (v.28) \u2014 having fulfilled the Father’s will. His oneness with the Father will continue eternally.<\/h3>\n

When it says that He will give up the Kingdom, it does not mean that the Kingdom itself will be terminated. The millennial reign is only the introduction to the eternal reign (Revelation 22:5), and has to crush all rebellion. But the Son ceases to reign as man when the thousand years shall have run their course, though as King of Israel He shall also reign forever.
