So Paul explains.<\/h3>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">&#8220;Called&#8221; = An invitation given by God <u>and<\/u> responded to. Two verses with a parallel usage are:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3 align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"http:\/\/versebyverse.carpelibra.org\/?p=3206\">Matthew 22:14<\/a><\/span> \u2014 <\/span><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">For many are called, but few are chosen.<\/span><br \/>\n<\/em><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3 align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Revelation 17:14 \u2014 <em>These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful.<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 align=\"justify\">Those who trust Christ aren&#8217;t saints by their own devices, but due to a calling by God \u2014 just as Paul didn&#8217;t appoint himself an apostle.<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3 align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/versebyverse.carpelibra.org\/?p=238\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Romans 1:1<\/span><\/a> \u2014 <em>Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle &#8230;<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3 align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Romans 1:6 \u2014 Romans <em>are &#8230; the called of Jesus Christ.<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ.
