packed (v.15) \u2014 probably means “saddled our horses,” which explains how they got the 70 miles to Jerusalem in two days.<\/h3>\n

up to Jerusalem (v.15) \u2014 almost 70 miles. The journey took two days, so they lodged with Mnason. He probably didn’t travel with them; the disciples of Caesarea took Paul and his companions to Mnason’s house, then went home. Lodging would have been difficult to find because of all the pilgrims on the way to Jerusalem for the feast.<\/h3>\n
