Now we are to consider others as betters.<\/h3>\n<h3>selfish ambition (v.3) = faction, ambition, self-seeking \u2014 anything involving self-will \u2014 probably a reference to the troubles in the Philippian church<\/h3>\n<h3>conceit (v.3) = empty glory, empty opinion, empty pride \u2014 any glory centered on ourselves.
