This was the reason for Paul&#8217;s joy.<\/h3>\n<h3>confident = reached a conclusion based on reasonable grounds. Paul was confident and would continue to be so (Greek tense)<\/h3>\n<h3>He = God<\/h3>\n<h3>good work \u2014 regeneration (past), sanctification (present) and glorification (future).
